Rivers Week Update as of June 14, 2022
Hello all, some additional Rivers Week information as of June 14, 2022.
Currently water levels are very high. The Similkameen is currently above its highest safe level (which is 60-80 cms) with the possible exception of the easier runs. The Tulameen is more than double its highest safe level (about 40 cms). Both are trending downards but that can change. Watch this space for further updates. I’ll be there regardless, even if I end up paddling local lakes!
Here is the main information and links to the camping areas as well as a detailed Rivers Week guide. The first half starting July 25 we are camping at the Outpost Campground, map below. No need to call them, as we have the whole site booked – just show up and work out payment when you do. You can save money by doubling up with others on one site.
The second half of the week is at the Granite Creek Recreation campground near Coalmont, which is $10 per night:
