Renew Membership

Simple!  Just click the “Pay Now” Button below the waiver, select how many adults or juniors you are renewing, and include in the text box the names you are renewing for.  If you are renewing for more than two people, you will need to go through the process twice.

Reminder: the waiver all members accepted when first registering applies to all renewals.  By completing payment you are confirming that all members you are renewing have read and confirm acceptance of the waiver.

Waiver Of Liability

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY—READ CAREFULLY—
BY AGREEING, YOU WAIVE RIGHTS INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE
In consideration of being permitted to participate in activities or courses of the Beaver Canoe Club and Recreational Canoeing Association of BC, including their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, instructors, independent contractors, sub-contractors, representatives, related societies or companies, successors and assigns (all of whom are collectively referred to as the “Releasees”) I hereby release the Releasees from any and all liability for loss, damage, expense or injury including death that I may suffer, or that my next of kin may suffer resulting from participation in any such activities or courses due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence or breach of statutory, contractual or other duty of care by the Releasees and including failure by the Releasees to protect me from the risks, dangers and hazards of the activities or courses, and any failure in leading, instructing, accompanying or attempted rescue of me.

The activities for which I am releasing the Releasees of all liability include canoeing and related activity on water or land, together club social events, as well as transportation to and from all such activities (the “Activities”). I am aware that the Activities involve many significant risks, including but not limited to capsizing, drowning, hypothermia, bodily injury, entrapment, and I freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of injury, death, property damage, cost of rescue and evacuation and any related or resulting loss.

I also agree to hold harmless and fully indemnify the releases for any and all liability for any property damage: loss or personal injury to any third party resulting from my participation in the Activities, and from all expense of defending any such claim or any claim by me against the Releasees.

In the event that I am the parent or guardian of a minor agreeing to this waiver or I am agreeing on behalf of any minor for whom I am a parent or guardian, I hereby hold harmless and indemnify the Releasees for any claim by or against the minor arising from or connected to the minor’s participation in the Activities, including both liability and the costs of defending any claim.

I agree that this Waiver and Release applies fully to all future renewals of my membership or the membership renewal of a minor for whom I am a parent or guardian.
