Trips

Beaver Canoe Club day trips run locally in the lower mainland and sea to sky corridor, with multi-day trips all over British Columbia. Day trips run every weekend from March to November and are categorised as either “flatwater” i.e. lakes and slowly moving rivers or “whitewater” i.e. more difficult river sections up to grade 3. Members are expected to have appropriate skills and equipment for the trips they register for (see training section and trip rules). Trips are led by experienced volunteers or RCABC certified instructors.
For whitewater enthusiasts our annual schedule includes “Rivers week” at the end of June and the Adams river campout, Labour Day weekend.
How do I find out about, and register for trips?
Check the calendar on the BCC website or our monthly newsletter “Beaver Tales” (sent by email).- Contact the listed trip leader 3- 5 days in advance to register your interest. Giving a trip leader plenty of notice you would like to attend is important for planning a safe trip. The trip leader can answer your questions about the trip and ensure you have the right skills and equipment.
- If there is no contact person listed for the trip you’re interested in, contact the trips director Dave Westell: trips@beavercanoeclub.org.
