Premiering RiverBlue – October 1st (VIFF)

Dear river advocates, in advance of tomorrow’s next World Rivers Day update, just a note to say the anticipated documentary film, RiverBlue, will have its world premier at the opening of the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) on Saturday, October 1st in Vancouver, British Columbia at the beautiful Goldcorp Center for the Arts.

Nominated for the Festival’s prestigious Impact Award, RiverBlue chronicles an unprecedented around-the-world river adventure, led by paddler and river conservationist, Mark Angelo, who ends up uncovering and documenting the dark side of the global fashion industry; one of the planet’s most notorious polluters of waterways.

RiverBlue sets out to change an industry in an important effort to make it more sustainable and ethical. The film, narrated by actor, director and long time water supporter, Jason Priestley, will travel to a host of festivals in the future, including the Blue Ocean Film Festival and Conservation Summit in St. Petersburg in November.
