Widgeon Creek: Lake Water & Gr 1-

A family friendly paddle from Grant Narrows, across Pitt River and up the meandering Widgeon Creek slough, to Widgeon Creek Campground – and hike to the falls.
Outline plan: Meet at Grant Narrows at 10am, paddle ~5km to the campground for lunch, followed by a hike to the cascading granite falls (~3km each way) – returning to Grant Narrows for approx 4pm. Some people may try poling – bring your pole if you have one:)
Water levels in the creek can vary noticeably (portions can be very low – be prepared to wade & possible carry boats across sections).
Rain or shine event – check the forecast & be prepared to be out for the day. Bring hiking footwear & spare clothes etc in a dry bag. Paid parking.
