Stave Lake and Cardinalis Creek: Lakewater

This trip leaves from Kearsley Creek camp site situated 9km up a well used (good) Forest Service Road on the west side of Stave Lake.
There is parking and a good launch but also a $10 day use fee.
Its about 1.5 hour paddle to the entrance of Cardinalis Creek and hopefully our lunch/ swimming spot.
Its a beautiful paddle through the Stave Lake channel up to the Main Lake, from there we go south to Cardinalis Creek.
We hope to stop at the entrance for lunch and a swim, or consider paddling the additional 4 km up the inland creek where it is serene and beautiful.
The end of the day is normally a reasonably calm paddle back most of the the way with some head wind in the last stretch. That portion can be windier on occasion.
With good weather this is a very nice paddle day.
