SUMMARY:BCC Long Trips Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Coming Up \nBCC Long Trips Meeting \nWed Jan 21st 7:00 pm \nIN PERSON \nAt \nBurnaby Lake West Sports Complex\, Room 1 \n(RSVP to Dave W westell@shaw.ca ) \n  \nThinking of an extended trip next summer? January is a good time to start the planning. A time to book vacations\, to think about camping reservations and to secure outfitters and charter flights. \n  \nThe BCC Long Trips Meeting is an opportunity to state and discuss your interests with others\, to propose a trip\, seek one to join\, research logistics\, or to just listen in. \n  \nThe format is simple. Each person gets a chance to state interest in a trip and answer questions. A contact list is circulated. Then the rest is up to you. \n  \nEvery year\, some extended trips start right here\, at the Long Trips Meeting\, and people who came go on to get the experience they wanted\, and to have a lot of fun. \n  \nBut just remember. They are private trips\, not sanctioned Beaver Canoe Club trips. The BCC Club does not endorse them or discourage them\, or even know what plans are made after the meeting is over. \n  \nIt’s up to you to know the trip’s difficulty and its hazards\, to know if you have the knowledge and skills required\, to know that your participants and cohorts are qualified too\, and to know that adequate safety measures are in place. That’s a lot to know. All the trip’s dangers and hardships are up to you\, and its rewards. \n  \nHoping to see you there!
