SUMMARY:Nicomekl River
DESCRIPTION:The Nicomekl River travels west through the Fraser valley to empty into Mud Bay at Crescent Beach.  It was part of an old canoe route connecting mud bay to the Fraser River via a portage to the Salmon river\, and down to Fort Langley. \nThe river is slow moving and the trip is in sunny South Surrey.  Put in at a parking lot where King George crosses the river and paddle down to Crescent Beach. Along the way you’ll see some marsh areas\, a marina and Elgin Heritage Park.  Eagles are a likely sight and maybe even a barn owl.
