SUMMARY:Widgeon Creek: Lake Water & Gr 1-
DESCRIPTION:A family friendly paddle from Grant Narrows\, across Pitt River and up the meandering Widgeon Creek slough\, to Widgeon Creek Campground – and hike to the falls. \nOutline plan: Meet at Grant Narrows at 10am\, paddle ~5km to the campground for lunch\, followed by a hike to the cascading granite falls (~3km each way) – returning to Grant Narrows for approx 4pm. Some people may try poling – bring your pole if you have one:)  \nWater levels in the creek can vary noticeably (portions can be very low – be prepared to wade & possible carry boats across sections).\nRain or shine event – check the forecast & be prepared to be out for the day. Bring hiking footwear & spare clothes etc in a dry bag.
